Tuffi Films shoots two feature films, documentary and a tv-series

Tuffi Films projects childrens film SIHJA – FLY WITH ME, feature film GAMES PEOPLE PLAY, documentary HERE BE MONSTERS and comedy series CARPE FCKIN DIEM! received a production support from Finnish Film Foundation in June. Also Israelian documentary which is minority co-produced by Tuffi Films received a productions support.

The feature film Games People Play will be shot in summer 2019. The film will be distributed by Nordisk Film and Finnish Broadcasting Company. Games People Played is a comedy about the the tragedy of eternal youth. -I’m really excited to make my first feature film with this really great ensemble of actors tell screenwriter and director Jenni Toivoniemi.

Marja Pyykkö directs childrens feature film Sihja – Fly With Me during early fall 2019. The screewriters of the film are Kirsikka Saari and Jenni Toivoniemi. The film is co-produced by Dutch Company Windmill Film and Norwegian Den Siste Skilling. The film will be distributed by SF Studios and Finnish Broadcasting Company. Sihja – Fly With Me is a story of friendship between an unusual ferry and a kind boy. -Directing a childrens film has been a dream of mine for a long time. The original script is very functional and comedic and it’s themes handles things such as being different, the relation of order and chaos and nature. This will be an exciting professional challenge and I’m very looking forward to start working with this productions says director Marja Pyykkö.

The Documentary film Here Be Monsters is directed by Anna Antsalo as her first long film. Lost Childhood will be directed by David Waschmann and the main producer is Gum Films. Both of the documentaries are distributed by Finnish Broadcasting Company.

Tuffi Films first comedy series Carpe Fcking Diem! will be shot at the end of summer 2019. It will have it’s premiere on C More on spring 2020 and later on MTV3. The screenplay is from Kirsikka Saari and Jenni Toivoniemi and it will be directed by Kirsikka Saari and Selma Vilhunen. The series is described as A sassy comedy series for smart women who need a laugh.

In fall 2019 Tuffi Films also distributes it’s own production Force of Habit which is a collaboration of seven female directors (Kirsikka Saari, Elli Toivoniemi, Alli Haapasalo, Anna Paavilainen, Reetta Aalto,Jenni Toivoniemi and Miia Tervo). The Force of Habit is part of a shot film series One-Off-Incident which will be published in winter 2020.
