Do I Have to Take Care of Everything? nominated for Oscars

The short film Do I Have to Take Care of Everything? (director Selma Vilhunen, screenwriter Kirsikka Saari) has been nominated for the 86th Academy Awards® in the category of Short Film (Live Action). The film is produced by Elli Toivoniemi / Tuffi Films. We are thrilled about the news!

Do I Have to Take Care of Everything? is the first film produced by Tuffi Films. The company’s other short film The Date by Jenni Toivoniemi was awarded last year in the Sundance Film Festival.

Kirsikka Saari and Jenni Toivoniemi have written Akseli Tuomivaara’s debut feature film Korso (6220 kilometres from New York), which premieres in February. The film tells about Markus, 20, who dreams of becoming a street ball star in the States. It is produced by Elli Toivoniemi / Tuffi Films and Mark Lwoff & Misha Jaari / Bufo. Selma Vilhunen’s latest film is a documentary film Song, which tells about Finland’s last rune singer and his pupil. Song premieres in April.
