Tuffi Films receives nine nominations at the national film awards

Tuffi Films’ feature film Games People Play (Jenni Toivoniemi) received eight nominations and documentary Conductivity (Salla Luhtanen) received one nomination at the Jussi awards.

Games People Play, a comedy about the tragedy of being forever young, is nominated in the following categories; Best Film (producers Venla Hellstedt, Elli Toivoniemi and Tuffi Films), Best Director (Jenni Toivoniemi), Best Actress (Emmi Parviainen), Best Supporting Actress (Ida-Maria Heinonen), Best Supporting Actor (Samuli Niittymäki), Best Screenplay (Jenni Toivoniemi), Best Editing (Samu Heikkilä) and Best Costume Design (Jouni Mervas).

Luhtanen’s documentary Conductivity got nominated for Best Original Score. Conductivity tells the story of three young conductors in the prestigious Sibelius Academy in Helsinki.

Jussi Awards are Finland’s biggest annual recognition in the film industry. There are 16 categories for the Awards altogether, from which Tuffi Films is competing in nine.
