RUEDEE (29), a woman from Thailand and a Finnish man JUKKA-PEKKA (40), get married and move to Finland during the summer. They have the best intentions, but as the beautiful sunny days turn into merciless dark winter nights, Ruedee struggles to become an accepted member of the society as people are quick to draw judgments on an Asian woman in a country which prides on equality.
